Room 4 students took on the Room 5 students on Friday in a Hockey Challenge. Four teams from each class got together and played against each other. The teams were very evenly matched and the teachers were very impressed with the skill level on show from all students. It was great to see the student using the knowledge they had recently learnt from the visiting Sport Waikato Hockey coach. The students all had such a fun morning that we are planning on having another Room 4 & 5 hockey challenge again soon!

Today (Wednesday 17 October) Carl from “Kiwi Sport” came and taught Room 4 some very handy cricket skills, such as: catching, throwing and batting. We all enjoyed the cricket session and after the skills lesson we all had a game of cricket. Cricket is a great summer sport and we look forward to using the skills we learn today when playing more games of cricket in the future.
