Wow....check out the new art work that has been hung up on the outside of the Multi Purpose Room. These tiles were hand made by some of the student's in Room 4 and add colour and creativity to our school. We are very proud of our school and like to enhance our buildings by displaying the student’s art work.

Room 3 and 4 students from Tairua school were some of the first children to enjoy the new Pepe Playground in Tairua today. It was an amazing celebration for all of the students, as they helped to design the new playgound. There were great smiles from ear to ear from the students and it was a great fun celebration. Brett was also a star today, as he was chosen to cut the ribbon to open the new playground because his decscriptive writing about, 'what the old playground meant to him', had been chosen as the winning piece of writing.
Yesterday we were thoroughly entertained by the Wellington International Ukulele Group who performed an array of amazing songs for us. They were an incredibly talented group of musicians and we all joined in and sang along to the popular songs they played. Some of the Tairua school students were lucky enough to join in with the group and play the Ukulele alongside them. Watching such a talented group of musicians was very beneficial to all of the students and teachers who attended the concert.
Wow....what clever artist we have in room 4. Check out their amazing self portraits!!!!
The students have been very busy are are extremely proud of their art work. |
