The start of term four has been a busy and lively one with lots of sunshine! We have been busy nurturing the needs of our sunflower seeds which with Jane's help were planted Friday of week one in the glass house. Our next job is to plant the rainbow carrots and beetroot. The boys in Room One have almost mastered our School Haka thanks to Darrien and Denzel from room 5. As a class we are teaching and learning the Tairua School song and New Zealand National Anthem.
A warm (and belated) welcome to SIlvaSeven, Shonal and Luke who are with us all day, every day now! They have all been able to raise the flag with Mr Finn to celebrate turning five and starting school. Well done SilvaSeven, Shonal and Luke, we love having you here each day.
As the days are getting warmer and brighter Room One would like to spend more time exploring and learning outside whether it be in the garden or at our school beach. Please send a change of clothing that can be left at school (named shorts and a t-shirt in a bag). Leaving a hat at school is also a good idea, we have a hat box in Room One.
On Monday the fourth of November we will be making flax headbands in room one, if you would like to come along and help, please let me know. Thanks so far and have a great week!
