Year 8 students from Room 5 participated in the Looking2Lead course. This course assists students to identify their personal leadership style and how they can contribute to their school. We joined up with Year 8's from Hikuai School and made a real day of it! After the course we reflected on all the skills we had learnt over fish & chips at Hot Water Beach. Then we dug ourselves a well deserved hot water hole and spotted a pod of dolphins. One small step for young leaders, one giant leap for our community. Room 5 were avid participants of this event to raise money and awareness for Surf aid. All proceeds this year go toward building a school for a community in the Malawai Islands. |
